A large park, a public garden, with offices and spaces for community services, an access road crown panoramic area that combines environmental and architectural beauty. Everything now is available to citizens of Carvico after a series of works carried out over 26 years. With the beginning of this year were in fact removed the last scaffolding used to carry out the redevelopment area in front of City Hall and Via Santa Maria, handing it to the people's complete works. This is a complex redevelopment began in 1984 and completed thanks to the continuity of the various municipalities that have occurred.
Opera in eight lots
Eight were lots of intervention that have been executed in recent years. The work covered the whole of the town hall (a building of the first half of the accounts belonged to Medolago Albani) and the area in front, including the park Seraglio.
Carvico today can be proud of this as its "living room", the flagship of the country, where they are concentrated in the public garden, several public services offices, the hall council, the library, the rooms provide the associations, the former palace chapel used as exhibition hall and various initiatives. The top floor is the medical center, while in the east wing of the building were made 14 mini housing for the elderly.
also behind the town hall are the Seraglio park with picnic areas, the typical home of the mountain, with the Antiquarian (room which contains archaeological remains of the settlement of San Tome) and registered office of Civil Defense. To the south instead opens the avenue that enhances the scenic town park and the hills of Santa Maria Canto and put away safely with raised pavements and road crossings in porphyry cubes.
It all started in September 1982 when the then Mayor Remigio Villa Ezio Caffi he commissioned the architects and Adam Maggioni to prepare a proposed renovation of city hall. The Superintendence for Architectural Heritage gave its positive opinion in October 1984 and immediately began the work of the first batch.
The driveway and parking
Remigio Mayor Al Villa Livio Mazzola happened that continued efforts needed in order to work, and so is the current mayor and Bolognini Attilio Luigi Panzeri who inherited the eighth lot on the redevelopment of 'area in front of City Hall and the securing of accommodation with Via Santa Maria.
This intervention has affected the whole area in front il palazzo comunale, usato come parcheggio. Nell'interrato sono stati ricavati 32 parcheggi, ma non è stato ancora aperto per motivi di sicurezza, mentre l'area esterna è stata sistemata con parcheggi sui lati e nel centro il viale con vista sulla villa comunale, con pavimentazione realizzata con materiali «ghiaietto lavato» e pietra di Lucerna.
